-one of the Area 2 class's for engineers that you learn something relavent
Cons: -LOTS of reading and writing
-a lot of readings are really dry
-long hard essay format exams
This class would be great if there wasn't a ton of work outside of class. I found him in class interesting. Outside of class was very time consuming
- extra credit is given
- taking it online was really nice
Cons: - lots of writing responses
- the online group paper/project at the end of the semester was a pain
- written exams
i took this class during the summer and it was online and my instructor was technically a GTA but i enjoyed it all the same. do the work and its an easy A class. lots of writing though, especially for engineers like myself who do little to none. also the exams are written which can be frustrating.
the only problem i had with this class was the 5pm deadline for most assignments and I worked full time during the summer so i always had to be ahead. there was a group project at the end that was the most painful part of the class as it was difficult to collaborate completely through google docs. also the "toughest" week of the online course in the summer was during my beach vacation so that was probably the worst part of the course for me.
overall great class, easy A and worth taking as it was very interesting to learn about. idk how he is in class, but I would recommend taking it online
The exams are all paragraph form. Very lengthy exams.
